DON'T WANT TO UPGRADE YOUR PRACTICE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE TO 5010?

ECP can convert your print image, NSF or other non-compliant format to the compliant 5010 format

(if possible we do recommend upgrading to the 5010 format to ensure claim payment)

Below is our Phased Transition to HIPPA 5010...

Phase I (April through June 2011)
As of April 1, you will be able to submit your 5010 test files on our website. After login to the ECP site, you will find a 5010 testing button. This will direct you to the test file submission process. Follow the directions for submitting your file. This initial test will provide verification that the file is readable.

Providers who intend to continue submitting in 4010, image, or other non-ANSI format (plan no upgrade to 5010 format) will not be required to send a test during Phase I of the ECP testing process. Testing of their files will take place during Phase III.

Phase II (June through August 2011)
5010 test file submissions will be tested for compliance with the available ANSI format specifications.

Phase III (August through December 2011)
Payer specific edits using your test file will be tested for accuracy, previously submitted (and 5010 verified) files will be used for this phase. There is no need to submit an additional test file if we have already received a properly ANSI formatted 5010 file.

Providers who intend to continue submitting in 4010, image, or other non-ANSI format (plan no upgrade to 5010 format) will access ECP 5010 website for testing submission. The objective of this test is to identify conversion gaps.

ECP is dedicated to effectively make this transition alongside its healthcare providers! Please contact us at ecp5010@4ecp.com if you have any questions concerning 5010.
